Author Sylva Kelegian won two gold medals at Dan Poynter’s Global Ebook Awards 2015. Her book “THE DOLPHIN PRINCESS” got the top award in the Children Literature Fiction category, and “GOD SPELLED BACKWARDS: The Journey of an Actress into the World of Dog Rescue,” in Autobiography/Memoirs Non-Fiction category.

These recognitions are on the heels of another literary accolade for THE DOLPHIN PRINCESS, which also won in the children’s fiction category of The Beverly Hills Book Awards 2015. GOD SPELLED BACKWARDS was also a finalist in the memoir category of the same awarding event.
Sylva’s soft spot for animals is revealed in her memoir GOD SPELLED BACKWARDS. She has been a staunch advocate of animal rescue programs for more than a decade now.
Apart from being an accomplished author, Sylva is also a popular theater, film, and TV personality. The character actor has played roles in Off-Broadway shows, and Hollywood films such as “Desperation,” “Spiderman,” “Crash,” “Atlas Shrugged,” and “Return to Zero.” She has also appeared on TV series such as as “CSI, NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Southland,” “Rizzoli & Isles,” “ER,” “Cold Case,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Big Love,” “Prison Break,” “Bones,” “Without a Trace,” and more. She is married to Jude Ciccoclella who is also a famous character actor.
