Many seasoned and celebrated writers are voracious readers who have benefited from reading to improve their craft. Their inspiration to write may have come from one impressive read after another or from authors whose writing knack they wish they had.

For those who simply love to bury their noses in heaps of books, reading, of course, is a divine pleasure. Reading is a leisurely escape that allows anyone to enrich their imagination with different characters and places they may have never seen before. It is even argued that readers are “scientifically the best people to fall in love with.” Lemony Snicket also warned: “Never trust anyone who has not brought a book with them.”
In the US, the National Reading Month kicks off in March. Various events promoting literacy are held all over the country. A non-profit organization called Women’s National Book Association (WNBA) launched the National Reading Group Month in 2007 to promote the love of reading all over the US.
