It is with great pleasure that Xlibris Publishing introduces Anders Wennerstrom, author of Another Side of Thoughts and Names are Music and So are You and I.
My inspiration to write my books comes from a need to communicate an alternative to what mainstream communication does. This need is also about survival as an artist that likes to do experiments both with himself and his artistic products. The Russian theatre man Stanislavsky said once that theatre is the art of life and there dwells my writings too. My life is the core of my books and many times it goes the other way around so that I almost have felt that my life is a stage. That is a dangerous place to be at, but I have felt from the beginning onwards with Xlibris that they have believed in me and they have also taught me to stand up for my ideas.
The motivation I have in relationship to an audience is for me to open a flood between opposites so that it can get an encounter and an understanding however distant they are from each other, and also to split a too tight unity that only sees itself so that we can accept something foreign within ourselves. Xlibris understands my ideas and we will soon record a video at my home where people will get to know where I am presently and concretely, but may be more importantly to let an audience see where I am mentally. Another great adventure that the intelligent marketing department at Xlibris will do is to place an ad for one of my up-coming books in New York Times Sunday Magazine. Recently my book Another Side of Thoughts had the great honor to be seen in Reader’s Digest UK June edition. If that weren’t enough I will also participate in a radio show with the USA nation renowned host Stu Taylor. However the best feeling I have had with Xlibris is when I saw their edited version of Another Side of Thoughts and I understood that this is actually great stuff. The publisher simply manage to put my words in a format so that it became a polished and ready to sell art product for the world to discover. It was first when I saw my publisher’s edit of this book that I understood that I am actually an author.
If I would say something to an aspiring author and artist it is to read a lot and to see the world as a texture of meaning. The world is not always functional but there is always something to say also when things don’t function so that we can grasp the meaningful even we didn’t believe it exists. So, I think aspiring authors should start with deep observations of the world and reflect upon it and as the discoveries slowly become narratives and stories, or just poems without beginning or end, they should then publish and go the whole way to make the words available to most possible readers.
Best wishes,
Anders Wennerstrom, the author of Another Side of Thoughts and Names are Music and So are You and I
