Time for some Good News! It has been an interesting time for Xlibris Authors. Horror and Fantasy have been particularly prominent genres over the past seasons. In addition, one Xlibris author saw the movie rights to his book picked up by an actor.
Good News
In Patriots from the Barrio Dave Gutierrez shares the true story of a US Army combat unit during WWII, thanks to testimonies from surviving members of the unit, including his own relative, and their families. The book’s movie rights were picked up Wilmer Valderama, actor and entertainment company owner.
JR Gonzalez has published three books with Xlibris, the latest of which, The Lingstroms, follows a family who have bought a new house… one with a terrible secret. In Drew Stockwell’s Soultrapped, another family moves into a new home, one still inhabited by a monstrous, immortal tenant. Readers will get to travel through a new fantastical world filled with monsters, mages, and great warriors, in JA Bullen’s Beyond the Amaranthine Veil, which the author promises will be followed by more novels and adventures.
Testimonials
Lynette Collins, The Blueberry Possums and How They Came to Be
Xlibris are making my dreams a reality with ease. They make the process quick, easy and fun and I will be forever grateful to be working with such a professional team of people.
Dave Gutierrez, Patriots from the Barrio
I really enjoyed learning the overall process of manuscript to finished book. Every step of the way I asked questions.
Bert Johnston, The Canterbury Hall Tales
I enjoyed the process of moving from manuscript to book format, and was especially pleased with the great cover created with the help of Xlibris.
JA Bullen, Beyond the Amaranthine Veil
Working with Xlibris, has been a trying experience for all the right reasons. I have had the opportunity to work with industry pros, who have helped me to determine some of my own weaknesses in this venture of mine.
Drew Stockwell, Soultrapped
I think Xlibris has been very helpful in this process. They’ve always had an ear to listen to my gripes, even when I found that the solution wasn’t exactly what I was looking for.
JR Gonzalez, The Lingstroms, Esmerelda’s Web, and The Opened Window
My favorite part of being published by Xlibris was holding the actual book in my hand, seeing the posters and the business cards and knowing they are doing what they promised makes me proud and gives me inspiration to write more, to finish the other novels I have in my head.
Charles Richardson and Amira Kidd, The Naked Lady
I love the focus they put on reaching out there to the social media groups.
