Who is the author “behind” the book?
I am an average individual with a B.S. from University of Texas Dallas Campus. I have been married for over 53 years, have 3 grown children, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Once off active naval duty, I worked as a electronics technician while going to university to earn a B.S.
Do you have any particular literary influences that have helped you develop in your genre, subject and style?
The only literary talent I have is from having taken about 6 extra semester hours in literature and technical writing. Additionally, having read a book on writing evaluations.
What inspired you to write your book, and how long did it take you to finish it?
The original inspiration to write this book came from my daughter-in-law. She suggested I write my memoirs to provide a legacy for my grandchildren and beyond. After spending a few years on the memoirs and allowing a few people to read them I was encouraged to turn my memoirs into a book. Thus, I now have a book that took me a total of about 6 years to complete.
What is the one message you would like to convey to your readers?
I would like to convey to my readers a story that has interest and some excitement.
Are you working on a sequel to your book?
I have no plans for a sequel, But would like to write about my experience as a real estate investor.
Finally, what advice would you give to aspiring authors?
My advice to any aspiring authors, would be: GO FOR IT!! Just start writing; re-reading; and correcting! You will be amazed at the feeling of accomplishment when you finished!
