  1. Dear Mr. Miles,

I saw the ad for your new story collection, EYE OF THE BEHOLDER, on page 65 of the 8/13/15 issue of THE NEW YORK REVIEW OF BOOKS and looked you up on the xlibris.com website.

Haven’t tracked down your books yet but I certainly enjoyed reading the comments on your blog about writing, as well as all of the information about your fiction and nonfiction works.

It certainly seems to me as that an author with your entomological expertise might be interested in using that background for sf, fantasy, or horror.

Since we also enjoy reading some of the same authors, that’s’ why it occurred to me that it might be a good idea to ask if you have ever considered sending a story to one of my favorite magazines here in the United States: THE MAGAZINE OF FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION.

Here’s the link to F&SF’s guidelines page:

Hope that this unsolicited info from a long-time subscriber is useful. See what you think., Good Luck!

While I would be delighted to hear from you, I’m also aware every day that “Free Time” seems to be in even shorter supply lately for EVERYONE, much less retired professors and soon-to-be retired librarians, so no reply (immediate or otherwise) is necessary or expected.

    Sincerely,

    Michael D. Toman
