Xlibris Authors| Tommie Artis and Paula Sherard Artis Pt 2

Xlibris Publishing returns with Tommie Artis and Paula Sherard Artis.

What inspired you to write your books, and how long did it take you to finish it?

Xlibris Authors| Tommie Artis and Paula Sherard ArtisBefore we accepted Christ into hearts we had no idea that we were born with these gifts, after we invite Jesus Christ in to change our hearts, He made known to us these gifts and   He allow us to see His purpose for our lives.  We have been teaching and writing lesson plans since 1986 some of our writing, was birth from some of our counseling session and lesson plans as we taught in Bible College and Sunday School Teachers.  We also  share some of our failures and mistakes to help others.  The Holy Spirit has inspired us to write and as we write, we learned that, placing this information in a book will allow readers in all nations, countries and places we may never travel, reaching more people even when our lives  has expired.  The gospel of St. Mark 13:10b states, “And the gospel must first be published among all nations”.

Most of our writing took many years of study and research because whatever we write, we want to give our very best. Composing and completing the manuscript about one year for each book.

What is the one message you would like to convey to your readers?

Every human life searches for someone much larger than themselves that we all can truly trust. When we have fulfilled our careers, married the love of our life, enjoyed our family, purchased our homes and have pursued our highest dreams there is yet something missing in the human life. God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness, but it must begin with a personal relationship with the true and living God, who created us all.

Are you working on any sequels to your books?

Not yet.

Are there any events, marketing ideas or promotions planned for your book? Please feel free to mention any accolades you have received.

There are marketing ideas and promotions, yes we have book- signing planned for March 12, 2017, Goldsboro, NC also there will be, Marriage weekend workshop-Marriage Beyond the Bed, New Haven, CT.  Interviewed on the Radio Book Club, Greenville, NC for both books February and March 2017.

Many have stated after reading and hearing our book interview, “O God Strengthen Our Hands”, they were   greatly inspired from this writing to complete their book.  After purchasing a   book, one young man stated while reviewing the chapters in Marriage Beyond the Bed, “that this information is really needed today to encourage, marriage ”.

What was your favorite part of your publishing experience, overall and with Xlibris?

Tommie Artis and Paula Sherard ArtisOur favorite part of our publishing experience, as  we work to complete our manuscript, Xlibris staff was very professional, consistent, patient and  although this was our first time publishing, the staff made you feel like your work was just as important as some advance  publishers.  While being very nervous with our first writing,   they made the follow-up calls, and made you feel like you were working on the bestselling book in the world.  The staff was very knowledgeable about the company took the time to really   listen and understand what you were going through.

Finally what advice would you give to aspiring authors?

We recommend other writers  not  to be afraid to release your manuscript to world, we have learned that our book will travel to nations, that we will never travel, and as we leave this earth our stories will be here to impact the next generation. Fear will control and hinder us or we can control the fear and move forward.  Most of the time we fear the unknown. We learn by doing and each time you write, your confidence will increase as you begin to picture in your mind the message you would like to convey to every reader.

Do not get discourage, someone is waiting to hear your story, never try to compete or compare with someone else.  We are all unique and gifted, what you share some one can learn from your writings.
