Xlibris Publishing is proud to introduce Charles Richardson and Amira Kidd, co-authors of The Naked Lady.
About the book:
Who are the authors “behind” the book?
Charles Richardson and I, Amira Kidd, are the authors. I’m the actual writer and plot conceptualizer of the second book, and Charles is the keeper of the original story from his first book Allure of the Predator, which makes this his second book and my third book published. I’ve been writing all my life since the age of ten in almost all aspects of writing. I’ve headed a magazine, written articles for newspapers, did technical writing for corporations and even business writing.
Creative writing has always been my first love and the art of short story telling is my passion. I hope to write another collection of short stories soon. As for Charles I can’t speak for him, but I will say he is anxious to get his story out there and share with the world.
Do you have any particular literary influences that have helped you develop in your genre, subject and style?
My [Amira Kidd’s] influences have been writers such as Edgar Allen Poe, Alfred Hitchcock and the old show The Twilight Zone. I think my love for literature as well as television and film gives my writing a very visual perspective when reading.
What inspired you to write your book, and how long did it take you to finish it?
I was really inspired by Charles’s first book and we got to talking about how it could be developed into more.
What is the one message you would like to convey to your readers?
That secrets always find a way of surfacing especially if their mental. They’ll find any and every way of seeping out of that mind and coming to light.
Are you working on a sequel to your book?
There is a possibility of this. I am working on other projects as well so we’ll see!
Are there any events, marketing ideas or promotions planned for your book?
Well it seems our firsts stop may be a book signing in New York. We have some other things lined up and will be mentioned a little later.
What was your favorite part of your publishing experience, overall and with Xlibris?
I love the focus they put on reaching out there to the social media groups.
Finally, what advice would you give to aspiring authors?
Like anything else just do it. Write every moment you get a chance too. Write what you like and what you know.
