Xlibris Publishing introduces Carmelita Holson, author of Sculpt Your Character.
About the Book:
Sculpt Your Character is a motivational autobiography written by Carmelita Holson.
Who is the author “behind” the book?
I am a single mother with two children, one with asthma and one with sickle cell disease. I am a registered nurse, a part-time teacher and have recently completed my Diplomas in Mental Health Studies, Stress Management and Psychology with Alison. This book gives practical and realistic ways of dealing with the regular stresses of life using my personal tips that have helped me on this journey as a writer. I have shared my personal issues of; rape, trauma, financial burdains and psychological battles to engage the reader fully and relate to a real case scenario.
What is the one message you would like to convey to your readers?
My message to any reader of Sculpt your character is that whatever life throws at you, you can rise above it through the techniques of personal development.
Are you working on a sequel to your book?
I am currently working on a daily bread which will have poetry and short stories and this will be published in January 2018.
I have been marketing Sculpt Your Character using social media. I have done radio interviews and a TV interview and I have officially launched the book which is documented on my facebook page called- Karma’s Book Club.
What was your favorite part of your publishing experience?
My favourite part of this publishing experience was the fact that I did not have any money to get the book published but that did not stop me. I still worked on the book daily and communicated with the publishing team, operating through faith, eventually God showed up right on time. The day I completed the book, a friend walked in my office and offered to send off the book for me using her credit card. This shows that we have to do our part and as the law of attraction states. Like attracts like.
Finally, what advice would you give to aspiring authors?
Keep on sculpting your character.
